What is Mental Health Skill-Building?

Mental Health Skill-building services are training and support services, designed to enable individuals with significant psychiatric functional limitations to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment. Services provide instruction and counseling to individuals who, due to mental illness, would otherwise have trouble maintaining community stability and independence. 

How We Can Help

• Functional skills and appropriate behavior related to the individual's health and safety
• Activities of daily living, and use of community resources
• Assistance with medication management
• Assistance with medication management
• Assistance with grocery shopping and healthy meal planning
• Monitoring health, nutrition, and physical condition. 
• Teaching housekeeping and organizational skills
